This is due to the unification of all schools in the KinderWorld group under the common name and format of Singapore International school. This has meant a change in our curriculum, and text books to reflect the strong Singapore standards but also a change in our reporting. Singapore International School @ Saigon South, HCMC (April - 2010) (18-04-2010)
This week, we have enjoyed a visit from an Australian school, St Aloysius College. Their students presented a wonderful musical performance which was enjoyed by all. SIS students also showed their talents with a performance from the school choir, a cultural item from our Integrated students and a number from our rock band worthy of a spot on American Idol.  Read more...

Singapore International School @ Van Phuc (March - 2010) (05-04-2010)

Welcome back to Term 3, 2009 – 2010 at SIS @ Van Phuc. At the end of Term 2, our students completed the End of Semester Tests. Tests have been completed in all subject areas – English, Maths, Science, SOSE, PE, Music, ICT, Art, and students are awarded grades in these subject areas.

Assessment

Welcome back! After our Christmas break, all primary classes ‘hit the ground running’ as they returned to school and went straight into their testing schedule. This year, all primary students in grades two and up have sat semester 1 tests (SA1) based upon the Singaporean curriculum. These tests have been developed by our school in Ho Chi Minh City and they have been set across all S.I.S. primary schools in Vietnam.

As Semester One comes to an end we await the beginning of the new semester. In Semester Two we have many exciting events planned such as the Chiang Mai trip and sporting events which will include a swimming carnival and our summer sports house competitions. It is also a very exciting time for our Year 11 students as they finally start the GAC program. The GAC program is a very important program for our students as this will be the way in which our stu-dents will gain entry to University throughout the world. I would like to welcome all of our students and parents to the new school year of SIS @ Cau Giay. Our school year has started off very smoothly and productively. It has been my pleasure to visit students in their classrooms and during lunch time. I have had the wonderful opportunity of visiting every class within the school and speaking to many students about our school. Already we have formed a student council where students can share ideas, interests and concerns with teachers and the school administration. They will also focus on raising funds for charity organizations, organizing social events, developing community projects and advising on school reform. For Children’s day on the 1st June, all the children were given a ‘Knderworld Hat’ to wear now that the weather has been warming up and the Manor children went to the ‘circus’ in the Tran Nhau Tong district. I would like to remind parents that if at times your child requires medication while at school, you MUST provide to the class teacher International and Local, a written and signed letter explaining what the medication is for and the dosage amount, and when it is to be administered. Verbal permission is NOT ADEQUATE.

If this is not provided the teacher will NOT administer any medication to your child.
