Singapore Internaitonal School sponsored five teams to participate in the Hanoi Youth Football League (HYFL) this year. We had two teams in the U11 league, two in the U13 and one in the U15. The cost of sponsorship was US$600 per team. The teams played a game each Sunday against other schools in the area.

On 4 May 2012, four schools under Singapore International School System were granted Candidacy Status by the by the accrediting agency, the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Schools included, SIS @ Saigon South, SIS @ Van Phuc, SIS @ Ciputra and SIS @ Cau Giay.

Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (APMOPS) 2012 is officially launched. The year 2012 is the fourth time KinderWorld Education Group has co-hosted the Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (APMOPS) in Vietnam.

In the afternoon of 11th January, the representatives of Singapore International School belonging to the KinderWorld Group in Vietnam arrived Quang Ngai to visit the “prodigy”, Nguyen Thanh Luan (5 years old staying at Hamlet 4, Nghia Dung Ward, Quang Ngai City) and his family to grant a scholarship of 120 million VND per year to him at Nghia Dung Primary School, Quang Ngai City.
