KinderWorld Kindergarten and Private School Joint Stock Company (KKPS), an international operating arm of KinderWorld Group, Singapore, has signed a tenancy agreement with GuocoLand Binh Duong Property Co., Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GuocoLand Limited for an educational space in The Canary, an integrated residential development in Binh Duong.
The agreement between the two Companies was to build and operate an international school campus, modeling after the successful Singapore International School of the KinderWorld Group at Trung Son Residential Area, Saigon South, Ho Chi Minh City.
The proposed Singapore International School at The Canary aims to be operational around end 2009. The School, comprising of 3 storeys, will offer an international curriculum, combining the best of Western and Eastern cultures, from kindergarten to primary school level for about 500 students when it reaches full capacity. The School targets to attract students from families living in The Canary and the vicinity of the Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park and Binh Duong Province.
Said Mr Ricky Tan, Executive Chairman of KinderWorld Group: ‘This new campus builds on our existing footprint in the cities of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hue and Hai Phong. In the next two years, we will also have a presence in Binh Duong, Vung Tau and Nha Trang”.
The KinderWorld Group was founded in 1986. KinderWorld believes in offering a combination of Eastern values with an International outlook on education. Our first pre-school centre was opened in Singapore and to-date, the KinderWorld Group has grown extensively in Vietnam providing education for students from Pre-Nursery up to and including a University Foundation Programme.
As part of KinderWorld’s expansion strategies for Vietnam, plans are underway for the application and set up of an International Institute for Tourism, Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts in Da Nang City and an International University in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. These plans are in response to the Vietnamese Government’s call in facilitating and providing the world-standard education facilities and programmes to meet the ever increasing needs of human resources development for Vietnam. “These plans are also a clear indication of our commitment to a long term presence in Vietnam”, said Mr Ricky Tan.
KinderWorld aims at not only providing quality education, but also contributing to society in Vietnam. As part of the various social and community works, KinderWorld believes in offering scholarships to outstanding academic students who come from less privilege families. KinderWorld is proud to have given an opportunity to 6 students to study at the Singapore International School. We intend to continue to offer this scheme to all our schools in Vietnam.
