Singapore International School in Le Chan, Hai Phong – Groundbreaking Ceremony
HAI PHONG, 05 APRIL 2024 – KinderWorld International Group (KinderWorld) held a groundbreaking ceremony for Singapore International School in Le Chan District, Hai Phong this morning. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Le Tien Chau, Party Secretary of Hai Phong; Mr. Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People’s Committee, Mr. Le Anh Quan, Standing Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People’s Committee; Mr. Ian Tan, Charge d’affaires of the Singapore Embassy in Vietnam, and other leaders from local Departments, Agencies, and the District. This event marks the 16th Singapore International School and KinderWorld’s entry into the third-largest city of Vietnam.

Situated on a 3.04-hectare land, Singapore International School @ Le Chan, Hai Phong (SIS @ Le Chan) will be constructed in two phases. The first phase of the school will comprise of the first classroom block and world-class school facilities including the multipurpose sports hall, swimming pool, football field and auditorium. The school is scheduled to commence operations in August 2024. With the completion of additional classrooms and complementary facilities in Phase 2, SIS @ Le Chan will be one of our largest campuses in Vietnam, providing through-train education for a capacity of 1,500 students from Preschool to High School.

This project has received special attention and guidance from The Party Secretary, Mr. Le Tien Chau, with all investment procedures being completed in the shortest possible time,” said Mr. Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People’s Committee.

KinderWorld started its first school in Vietnam in the year 2000 and has had a track record of 24 years in offering internationally recognised programmes through our Singapore International School campuses. Students will have the options to study the International Programme which closely follows the Singapore and Cambridge standards, or the Integrated programmes which combines the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) subjects with a range of international subjects and soft skills training.

Singapore International School @ Le Chan, Hai Phong is the first development as part of KinderWorld’s vision in developing international school campuses, together with a comprehensive vocational training centre, an outdoor education and ecotourism site in the city.
