2024 Typhoon Yagi Relief Efforts
Through collective efforts, KinderWorld & our students, parents, teachers, and staff - donated essential supplies and organized charity events, contributing a total of VND 452,737,000 to support communities affected by Typhoon Yagi.
Environmental Responsibility
Our campus incorporates elements of sustainability and green architecture. These include maximisation of outdoor and green space for students, recycled rainwater and high efficiency electrical equipment. Buildings, for instance, will be orientated at angles to minimise energy consumption.
Donations in the annual Christmas Fairs – To Operation Smile Vietnam
From 2013 to 2018, Singapore International Schools and KinderWorld International Kindergartens donated US$60,000 to Operation Smile Vietnam, funding the cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries for over 400 underprivileged children throughout Vietnam.
Youth Development
Since 2009, with support from Departments of Education and Training, KinderWorld has co-hosted the Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (APMOPS) with Hwa Chong Institution (Singapore), sponsoring over 90 Vietnamese students with US$29,000 to compete and learn from top students in the region.
Donations in the annual Christmas Fairs – To Caritas Vietnam
Since 2019, in the spirit of “Give cheerfully, receive gratefully”, about US$95,000 raised through our Christmas Fair are donated to Caritas Vietnam Charitable Committee for campaigns to help dioceses boost education and life skills for young people, water projects to improve health support to people living with disabilities, scholarship programme for poor students.
“Dreams to Reality” scholarships for Disadvantaged Students
Since 2013, KinderWorld has sponsored over 360 “Dreams to Reality” scholarships through annual Swing for Kids Charity Golf Tournament by Vietnam Investment Review and Ministry of Planning and Investment, worth about US$250,000, providing hospitality training at Pegasus International College and helping students secure jobs to support their families.
Commitment to Education and Social Responsibility
In June 2017, KinderWorld Vietnam JSC signed an MOU with Hanoi People’s Committee to offer US$200,000 in scholarships through 400 training courses in English, Hospitality and Outward Bound Programmes to government officers, hotelier representatives and young adolescents in Hanoi.
Corporate social responsibility (CSR), by spreading KinderWorld’s positive images and impacts, has contributed significantly to our corporate performance, with an increase from the first campus in 2000 to 16 campuses in Vietnam. Over 20 years in Vietnam, we are glad to see how our CSR commitment has brought positive improvement in education to thousands of beneficiaries in the community.
